"Indonesia as A Maritime Axis: Challenges and Opportunities" Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, by Susi Pudjistuti

Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti known for his courage to combat illegal fishing vessels in Indonesia. His courage was apparently heard to Uncle Sam. More recently, the minister who is familiarly called Mrs. Cruz was asked to give a lecture at Harvard University.

He gave a lecture titled "Indonesia as A Maritime Axis: Challenges and Opportunities" at the John F. Kennedy School for Governance (JFKSG), Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Monday (03/07/2016) local time. In his lecture Susi explained the case of illegal fishing in Indonesia. She also explained about the firmness of the Indonesian government did not hesitate to blow up the ship fish thieves.

"Theft harm our fish up to Rp 260 trillion per year," Susi said in his lecture. "Our government is firmly against the fish thieves."

Lectures were given Susi is certainly enough to attract attention. Moreover, he was only a junior high school graduate and have to give a lecture to the students one of the top universities in the world.

However, Director of the Academy ASH Center, Harvard Kennedy School, Jay K. Rosengård, admitted to not bother with the educational background of Mrs. Cruz. According to all the students and other teachers did know about education Mrs. Cruz but never questioned it. For him, a person is not judged by whether or not the long title behind his name, but rather the ability of the person.

PENEMUAN DESA DIMANA YESUS KECIL PERNAH TINGGAL

Kantor berita Associated Press mengungkapkan, penemuan itu berada di Nazareth, yang menurut Alkitab merupakan kota tempat tinggal Yesus di masa kecil. Berdasarkan penelitian awal, reruntuhan dusun yang dihuni sekitar 50 keluarga itu kemungkinan berdiri kokoh di era Yesus. 


Rumah-rumah itu kemungkinan dibangun dengan sangat sederhana dan merupakan tempat tinggal keluarga Yahudi yang miskin. Tim arkeolog membayangkan di tempat seperti itulah kemungkinan Yesus menghabiskan masa kecilnya dan bermain bersama teman-teman sebaya. 

Kompleks kumuh tempat tinggal Yesus itu tak jauh dari lokasi dimana Malaikat Gabriel - menurut referensi Alkitab - memberi kabar kepada Bunda Maria bahwa dia akan melahirkan seorang putra yang istimewa dan menjadi juru selamat manusia. 

Kini, lokasi penampakan Gabriel itu menjadi bangunan Gereja (Basilika) Pekabaran (Annunciation). Nazareth kini menjadi kota Arab terbesar di Israel bagian utara dan memiliki penduduk 65.000 jiwa. Mayoritas penduduk Nazareth saat ini adalah umat Islam.     
Namun, tim arkeolog mengungkapkan bahwa situasi 2.000 tahun lalu sangat berbeda. Saat itu, belum ada yang namanya komunitas Kristen maupun Muslim dan satu-satunya tempat ibadah adalah Kuil Yahudi di Yerusalem. Nazareth, yang saat itu adalah kota kecil, terletak di dekat wilayah konflik antara penguasa Romawi dengan para pemberontak Yahudi. 

Kaum Yahudi dari Nazareth sengaja membuat rumah-rumah berbentuk gua sebagai kamuflase agar tidak dilacak oleh tentara Romawi. Demikian menurut Yardena Alexandre, ketua tim penggalian dari Badan Otoritas Purbakala Israel. 

Berdasarkan bahan bangunan yang ditemukan di lokasi penggalian, Alexandre menilai bahwa reruntuhan rumah itu dulunya merupakan tempat tinggal bagi "keluarga Yahudi sederhana." Para pekerja penggalian sangat berhati-hati membersihkan kepingan-kepingan reruntuhan.

"Kemungkinan inilah tempat dimana Yesus dan orang-orang di masanya hidup," kata Alexandre. Yesus kecil bisa jadi bermain di sekitar rumah yang kini menjadi puing-puing bersama dengan saudara dan teman. "Ini baru sugesti logis," lanjut Alexandre. 

Penemuan itu disambut hangat oleh umat Kristen setempat. "Ada ungkapan yang menyatakan bila manusia tidak bisa bicara, maka batu-lah yang berbicara," kata Pendeta Jack Karam. (AP)
